CBD – what it is, what it isn’t, and why you might want to try it STAT

CBD is short for cannabidiol. It is one of over 80 different compounds found in the cannabis plant. Cannabis is more widely recognized for another compound – THC. THC is what makes marijuana users “high”.

CBD is not THC, and it’s not marijuana! It’s not going to get you high – no – not at all.

Oh, and CBD is legal in all 50 states as long as it is produced from industrial hemp, not marijuana plants, and as long as it contains less than .3% THC. So you can buy it without a prescription and without a Medical Marijuana Card.

Industrial hemp is bred to contain less THC than other cannabis plants. To produce CBD, some companies, like Gold Medal CBD, have processes that remove all THC from the end product, while leaving the rest of the compounds, called terpenes. These additional compounds are essential in the final products so they can produce what is called the “entourage effect”. This means that full spectrum compounds are more effective than CBD as an isolate.

CBD is used for a variety of disorders and diseases. Pre-clinical testing shows that CBD positively supports people with anxiety disorders, panic attacks, OCD, PTSD, and social anxiety. CBD reduces inflammation, relieves arthritic pain and supports recovery from exercise. All of this without the negative side effects of pain meds and anti-depressants!

This supplement is absolutely worth taking.

Gold Medal CBD is designed to be “clean”. With no (0%) THC, and no residual solvents or heavy metals you may find in competitive products. If you are worried about drug testing, whether it be for athletic competition, or work; rest assured that our products are safe and effective!
